Info for Christmas Events and songs below to practise with
Hazelford Care Home
Monday 27th November 9.40-11.30am - places limited re bus
We will catch the 300 bus to and from the care home (by the river in Bleasby) to sing for the residents and help the residents with a craft activity – making lanterns. If your child does not get to go this time, please don't worry, we will be going again, so there will be future opportunities.
Southwell Late Night Shopping
Thursday 30th November 5pm (for approx half an hour). Arrive by 4.45pm latest please!
Meet at Kings Court (at the back of Southwell Market Place). Myself, Mrs Cast and Mrs Spencer will take the children into the community building to get ready. Wear smart school uniform and optional Christmas headgear. Please put layers under your child’s uniform as we will leave coats inside the community building while we sing (however, coats will be kept on if it’s wet or very cold). Please make sure your child has been to the toilet/had something to eat/drink etc before you arrive. When we have finished singing, we will take all the children back into the community building and then release them to you. No parents/carers in the community building please, unless it has been agreed with Mrs Dunning or Mrs Cast that you are a helper. Plan B - If the weather is awful the Theatre Deli have kindly agreed that we can sing there - upstairs. Please meet there at 5.30pm (note different time)
Southwell Lantern Walk
Saturday 9th December 4.15pm until 6pmish at The Workhouse in Southwell. The plan is to do half an hour of singing and then repeat. From the car park, walk towards the main door of the house. We will be singing there. They’ll probably be attendants in the car park to ask. The Lantern Walk has a Victorian theme, so if you would like to dress up, please feel free to do so.
This is a such a lovely way to serve our local community and a great way to share our Achieving Belonging Caring vision.
With minimal choir rehearsal time at school, any practise at home is greatly appreciated! Any questions, feel free to ask!
With thanks,
Mrs Dunning
